I’ve always been a Delta girl through and through. Loyalty points, comfort, and familiarity have kept me coming back. But when my best friend, Ayleaha, decided to celebrate her birthday in Tulum, Mexico, we hit a snag. My bestie Shai & I decided to fly together & meet them in Tulum. Our original flight plans from Atlanta to Cancun fell through, leaving us scrambling for a last-minute alternative.
Enter Aeromexico. I must admit, I was hesitant. The usual stereotypes about non-US airlines flitted through my mind.Safety concerns and lower standards were my biggest worries. But with limited options, we took a leap of faith.
And boy, am I glad we did! From the moment we stepped on board, I was pleasantly surprised. The plane was clean and modern, the seats offered decent legroom, and the service was impeccable. I was particularly impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the flight attendants.
While the plane could have been a bit warmer for my liking (it was the end of summer, after all), it didn’t overshadow the overall positive experience. We arrived in Mexico City ahead of schedule, making our connection to Cancun smoother than expected. By the time we landed in Tulum, we had actually beaten our friends who had opted for a direct flight!
Aeromexico completely changed my perception of non-US airlines. Their exceptional service, combined with a comfortable flight, has earned them a loyal customer in me. I would without a doubt choose them again for my next trip.
